Thanyapura’s popular kids camps are back in 2020!

Thanyapura Health & Sports Resort offers a variety of engaging and exciting camps for children, which are specially designed to help participants build confidence, set personal challenges, and discover something new about themselves. The camps make use of the many facilities and spaces that make up Thanyapura; all situated next to a peaceful national park in the northern part of beautiful Phuket, Thailand. Develop new skills, meet great people and have lots of fun at these fantastic camps!

The camps are the perfect opportunity for children to distance themselves from the constant noise of Social Media, and take a much-needed break from technology. With each day spent improving their sporting and teamwork skills, and each evening spent playing games and socialising, participants will finish the camp with improved adeptness in social interactions, collaboration, and independence.

Thanyapura’s Summer Camps take place once a year during the school summer vacation, and focus on helping young athletes to improve their skills through swimming, tennis and multi-activity training. Parents and guardians can choose to enrol their children for 1 week, 2 weeks, or the full 3 weeks, and an option of boarding is also available. Staff are on-hand to support and take care of camp goers 24 hours a day.

The Summer Swimming Camps for Kids focus on individual goal setting and improving athletic performance. Video analysis will be used to show young swimmers their current techniques, along with where Improvements can be made to further refine them. In addition to swimming and general fitness activities, Camp goers will take part in yoga and stretching sessions to help them improve their flexibility and mental control. The swim camps are suitable for children aged 10-17 years old. There are a maximum of 24 participants per week. Boarding opportunities for participants are available for children aged 10 and up.

Age of Participants: 10-17 years old
Skills Required: 10x 100m in a 2-min interval, 50m Free under 40 sec, 50m Back or Fly under 45 sec
Camp Requirements: Campers are required to bring Swim suit, Cap and goggles, Sport wear and Water bottle

The Summer Tennis Camps for Kids will place emphasis on developing techniques through a series of drills that run throughout the week. Athletic performance will be assessed and improved with effective and fun fitness tests, and camp goers will gain a better understanding of the game through point situations and match games. The tennis camps are suitable for children aged 10-17 years old. Children will be grouped according to skill level. Boarding opportunities for participants are available for children aged 9 and up.

Age of Participants: 10-17 years old

Camp Requirements: Campers are to bring with them a tennis racquet, a change of clothes, tennis shoes (no black soles) and Water bottle

The Summer Multi Activates Camp for kids to experience 17 activity stations situated throughout the boot camp and assault course areas, covering a space of 8,028m². Activities range from zip lining to rope swinging, wall climbing, tire running, water crossing and much more. Each person will be able to track their progress through time challenges each session to help them step up their game, and a trophy will be awarded to the best person with the best time at the end of the program. Certificates will also be given out to all warriors who complete 11 sessions. This is call Multi-activities guaranteed to get you fit in a fun and challenging way, so bring along a friend and come take on the course!

What should you bring?

  • Towels and bathroom amenities
  • Water bottle
  • Sports specific gear and dryland gear
  • Slippers (house shoes)
  • Change of clothes (for after camp activities)
  • Pajamas
  • Others personal use i.e. sunblock, boardgames, etc.

Training Only: Lunch is included
Training and Stay: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

IMPORTANT REMARK

Please note that Thanyapura only accepts participants to Kids Camps who have registered prior to the registration closing date. Walk-ins and last-minute registrations are not accepted under any circumstances.
